Analogia ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address, display name, and password (encrypted). If you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID credentials as provided by Apple.
Collection Data: Albums, formats, and metadata you add to your collection, wishlist, and sonic history are stored in our database to sync across your devices.
Audio Data: When you use the Sonic Identifier (Shazam) feature, audio is processed locally on your device and through Apple's ShazamKit framework. We do not record, store, or transmit your audio.
Push Notification Tokens: If you enable notifications, we store your device token to send you weekly audiophile curation alerts.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information solely to:
◉ Provide and maintain your personal music archive
◉ Sync your collection across devices
◉ Send weekly audiophile curation notifications (if opted in)
◉ Improve the app experience
DATA STORAGE & SECURITY
Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase (Firestore) with encryption at rest and in transit. We use Firebase App Check to verify that requests come from authentic app instances. Passwords are never stored in plaintext.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We use the following third-party services:
◉ Firebase (Google) — Authentication, database, cloud functions
◉ Apple Music / MusicKit — Album metadata and artwork
◉ ShazamKit (Apple) — Audio recognition
◉ Google Gemini AI — Weekly curation editorial content generation
Each service is subject to its own privacy policy.
DATA RETENTION & DELETION
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Account page within the app. Upon deletion, all your personal data — including your collection, wishlist, sonic history, and profile — is permanently removed from our servers.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Analogia is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
GDPR & YOUR RIGHTS
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can exercise these rights by contacting us or using the in-app account deletion feature.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy within the app.
